Description
The RYA Level 1 Powerboat Course is a practical introduction to boat handling and safety in powerboats.
It covers many boating techniques. Including launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment. The course is run on our Humber Destroyer. A capable Rigid Inflatable Boat used around the world from Antarctica to the Equator.
This one-day introduction to Powerboating requires no previous experience. It is great for building confidence and allowing people to try out boating in a safe environment.
- In addition to the RYA Level 1 Powerboat Course, we also offer the RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course. This is a two-day course, ideal for those who want to take charge of a small planning craft on day trips around the coast.
- All courses are run by MCA Commercially endorsed Skippers, with at least 10 years of experience handling small craft. All instructors hold the RYA Powerboat Instructor Qualification.
All RYA courses are supplied by the RYA Registered Training Centre “Wavelength Training Ltd” at our address in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland or through the RYA Interactive training site.
